The Santa Rosa Symphony’s comprehensive music education program makes Greenfarm its summer home.
Classes offered in the following:
String classes – violin and bass
(beginning and continuing)
String Orchestras
(beginning, intermediate and advanced)
Wind Ensembles
(beginning, intermediate and advanced)
Big Band Jazz Ensemble (intermediate-advanced)
Youth Festival Orchestra (advanced)
Music Appreciation and beginning Music Theory courses. Theory and Composition courses for advanced students.

Fees range from $120–$300.

Classical Guitar Ensemble Camp
July 17–July 21 (one week)
1–5 p.m.
Plus performances at Greenfarmfest on
Saturday, July 22, 4 p. m.

Greenfarm proudly announces a new program just for guitar players ages 8–18, exploring diverse repertoire for a “mini” guitar orchestra. Sight-reading, ensemble techniques and interpretive skills will be covered.
Two Sections:
Junior Division (ages 8–12)
Senior Division (ages 13–18)

Piano Ensemble Camp

July 10–July 21 (two weeks)
1:00–5:00 p.m. • Monday–Thursday
Greenfarmfest Performances:
Saturday, July 22, 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

For piano players ages 8–18, exploring the exciting repertoire for one piano -four hands, two pianos -eight hands, and every other combination imaginable!

Performance and interpretative skills will be supplemented with daily sight-reading, harmonizing and basic orchestration tasks in the state-of-the-art Clavinova keyboard lab.

EXCEL for Youth
Mornings: 9:00–noon
Afternoons: 1:00–4:00 p.m.

This award-winning academic enrichment program for students in Grades 4–9 is now in its 24th year and has expanded offerings for Grades 10–12! This summer EXCEL is offering 46 classes on the SSU Campus including a wide array of arts-based classes to complement Greenfarm’s musical side.

Topics for Grades 4–9 include Hip-Hopology, Cartooning, Harry Potter at Hogwarts, Animal Illustration, Writer’s Workshop, and many others.

(3) Sessions: June 26–30 • July 10–21 • July 24–28

EXCEL Academy
High School Program for Grades 10–12

Classes include Photography, 3-D Animation, Comedy Improv, Industrial Scrap Magic, Screenwriting and many others!
2-week session: July 10–21

There is a supervised one-hour “lunch bunch” at no charge for students enrolled for morning and afternoon sessions.

Fees range from $140–$300.
